Explore iconic local spots across the city, check in as you go, and earn points toward fun prizes. It is a great way to discover hidden gems, support local, and make the most of your summer in San Antonio.

How It Works

Sign up for your free pass and it will be delivered instantly to your phone by text and email. Save it to your home screen for easy access. When you visit a participating business, open your pass and check in using your phone's location to earn points. The more places you visit, the more points you collect toward rewards.

Good to Know

The pass is completely free, and no purchase is required to sign up, check in, or earn points. Check-ins use your phone's GPS, so you will need to be at the business location with location services enabled to check in. Points and prizes are awarded while supplies last and may be subject to availability. Participating businesses and rewards are subject to change.

Your information is used to deliver your pass and share updates about the program. Location data is used only to verify check-ins at participating businesses.

The San Antonio Observer

Schilo's German-Texan Restaurant

Schilo's Deli started as a saloon in the 1900s in Beeville, Texas. Fritz "Papa” Schilo moved the saloon and his family to San Antonio in 1914 and Mama Schilo started serving some of her recipes a few years later in 1917. In 1920 prohibition hit America and all saloons abruptly closed, but Schilo’s was able to survive. When prohibition hit and the guys couldn't toast with beer any longer, root beer took its place. Schilo’s developed and became known for their original root beer recipe!
